The best part of summer is the bees. They make the heat and the humidity tolerable. While they aren’t present in my yard for the entire summer, there are always plenty of them when the Joe Pye weed blossoms.

I’ve also managed to keep the catmint alive for most of the summer, which the bees seem to appreciate.
